The touch is loaded with Ferrari-related videos and music as well as, bizarrely, Ferrari engine noises.

<img src="http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2009/06/smallish_b-Ferrari-16M-Scuderia-4a75940f188c.jpeg" alt="

The iPod touch is only a 16GB model, presumably because the convertible's name is the 16M and not because a bump to the 32GB would have broken the bank. But if you want to listen to a digital Ferrari engine in your real Ferrari on a Ferrari-branded iPod, you better jump on it quick: Only 499 are being made, and each is likely to cost $325,000. [Thanks, Noah!]

Extra note: Al & Ed's have been doing these custom installations for a few years now, and note that it's strange that Ferrari doesn't support an iPhone instead. That way you can have a GPS actually in your dash. They also claim that the price is $325k, not $225k.

No pricing info yet, but a boring old black K2000 will set you back around $800, so expect this "extremely limited" version to carry a bit of an overage. Its two lenses—the kit 18-55mm and an additional 50-200mm zoom will also get the white and black treatment. But this is hot-looking—why aren't there more colors for entry-level DSLRs other than black and hideous silver-painted plastic?
Limited Edition Wall-E Roomba From Japan Sucks in More Ways Than One

Limited-edition Wall-E Roomba: that brings to mind a certain image of an already-fairly-cute vacuum bot taking on two puppy dog eyes, an adorable electro-babble voice synth and maybe even an inclination to maintain a little nest of sad artifacts it has horded from your waste in an unseen corner of your giant house. Or at least, um, something that looks like the robot whose actual job was to sweep the floor in the movie? Sadly, this limited edition Wall-E Roomba fails on almost every possible count.

Right, all we get here is a regular Roomba 530 with a movie decal slapped on. Cost? ¥84,500 ($850 USD)—about a $550 premium over what the standard 530 will set you back here in the states, sans decal emblazonment. Weeping. Weeping.
Limited Edition Dark Knight Blu-ray With Bat-Pod Display Case

We already knew that a special edition of the upcoming Dark Knight Blu-ray release was going to drop alongside the standard version on December 9th, but the first images have only just leaked out from TheHDRoom. Outside of the case, both versions are identical—so I find it hard to justify spending $65 on this thing (the standard version is currently on pre-order for $25). But then again, I'm cheap like that.

Art. Suono iPod Sound System Could Probably Catch Dinner

DWV, the same guys responsible for designing products under the Ferrari brand, are attempting to reinvent the tired old iPod dock with their new Art. Suono Wireless Music Transmission System. Billed as a luxury item (get ready for sticker shock), the Art. Suono allows users to transmit audio from just about any source to a sound system of their choice. It features their proprietary DWC-APHEX circuitry, which claims to restore the harmonics lost in compressed music files as well as an iPod docking station, "Engine Start" button, a "Shift" input signal switch, a concealed input signal jack, and LED indicators. Plus, it looks like a friggin' fishing reel. Can't beat that for $1500. Available in limited quantities starting in October.

David Wiener Ventures Introduces the Art.Suono Wireless, Music Enhancing System with iPod Dock

Luxurious Music Transmitter/Receiver Boasts First Consumer Use of APHEX Technology
PARK CITY, Utah —(Business Wire)— Sep. 19, 2008 David Wiener Ventures (DWV), an internationally acclaimed design house developing exclusive products under the DWV and Ferrari brands, introduces the Art.Suono Wireless Music Transmission System and iPod Dock. The second offering of the David Wiener Collection (DWC), Art.Suono is a limited edition, luxury product that is iPod-compatible, and both an innovative audio instrument and elegant sculpture.

Art.Suono's proprietary wireless transmission technology allows users to transmit ANY audio source — including iPods, computers, CD players, MP3 players and satellite radio — to ANY audio system. It provides the ultimate performance and user experience, offering extreme quality, exceptional construction and a level of detailing rarely found in consumer products.

The Art.Suono also incorporates an astounding acoustic technology developed for the recording industry and used by top recording artists and engineers like Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor and Paul McCartney in mastering their albums. Art.Suono's proprietary DWC-APHEX circuitry, developed by APHEX Systems for DWV, and used for the first time in a consumer product, makes recorded music more "alive."

It restores the harmonics lost in compressed music files and provides an incredible sense of spaciousness and clarity so each instrument and voice is clear and distinct. At the same time, it optimizes bass frequency response, providing deeper, more resonant bass with the fullness, richness and depth that makes any audio system sound more powerful.

A luxury lifestyle product, the Art.Suono is also engagingly practical. Additional features include docking and charging for any model iPod, an "Engine Start" button, a "Shift" input signal switch, a concealed input signal jack, LED indicators, and a convenient volume control. Its five pounds of machined aluminum, carbon fiber accents, and fine detailing make Art.Suono the most sonically exciting compact music transmission system yet created. The included Art.Suono receiver, also in machined aluminum, may be displayed or hidden. Each Art.Suono powers up to two receivers so that multiple music systems may be used in a home or office.

The Art.Suono will be available October 2008, exclusively from David Wiener Collection authorized resellers worldwide at a suggested price of $1,499.

The 65-inch LC-65XS1U-S and 52-inch LC-52XS1U-S are 1-inch thin (at their thinnest point), and feature Sharp's RGB LED backlight, which they say improves color accuracy over other blue-only LED backlights and allows for a 1,000,000:1 claimed contrast ratio. Joining them are the D65U and D85U series, which bring 120Hz to the mid-range. For full details and more shots of all, hit the jump.

NEXT-GENERATION ULTRA-THIN AQUOS® LCD TV SERIES

Achieves amazing levels of image quality, environmental performance, and thinness

These TVs offer a metallic edge around the frame for a stylish, sophisticated look, giving
consumers more freedom to incorporate the new models into the design of modern interiors.
Contributing to the slim frame of the screen, the Limited Edition Series has a separate
AVC system set-top box for all input terminals, which can be connected to the screen via the
included HDMI® cable or with an optional wireless connection to eliminate cable clutter.
Additionally, the units include five HDMI inputs as well as dual HD component terminals, all of
The flashy, surprisingly mature paintjob features Dialga and Palkia, the two Pokemon—Pokemons? Pokemen?—from the Diamond and Pearl covers. It looks to come with a nice bundle, including carrying case, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DVD "special," a poster of Grovyle and a Pokemon t-shirt. Did they leave out an image of the upcoming special limited-edition C902 Cybershot James Bond phone to add to the mystery? Is it supposed to be kinda secret, à la Bond himself? Who knows: luckily T3 snagged a picture of the "titanium silver" phone. 007 himself uses it in the movie Quantum of Solace, and you can get your hands on one too. Hardware-wise the phone is unchanged from the 5-megapixel camera original, but will come with 007-themed content, including a "spy-style" game. Quite how this makes sure you're "ready for any challenge" I'm not sure. It's a mystery. As is price and release date. Blimey, Sony Ericsson's really good at this cloak-and-dagger stuff isn't it?
If the Di Grisogono Meccanica DG was the first watch with a mechanical-digital display, the Opus 8 watch by Harry Winston comes in at a close second. While the DG used mechanical tubes to display the time, the Opus 8 works using a complicated system of mechanical pixels that rise up from the display when the user activates a mechanism on the side of the case. But that's not all.

From the press release:

An exceptional and advanced timepiece, Opus 8 utilizes hand-wound mechanical movements to create a modern, digital time display. Inspired by pin art games, which create 3D impressions of objects pressed against them, the numbers in the display will only appear "upon request," activated by a bolt on the right hand side of the case. Nothing appears until the mechanism is wound.

A plate joins together small segments, both mobile and fixed. Just underneath is a disc driven by the movement, which turns independently in real time. When the mechanism is wound, the pieces adjust to display the time. As the plate descends, the small segments remain visible, "blocked" by the crystal, allowing the hour to be read for 5 seconds. Technically, all functions are related, enabling everything to be displayed on demand - the minute hand turns the hour that then turns the AM/PM function.

In addition, the back of the watch features a design resembling a printed circuit that functions as a second time display. AM and PM status are featured on the left, hours and minutes in the center, and a power reserve indicator is located on the right. Throw all of that fancy technology in a case with a cool looking retro vibe and you have yourself one hell of a timepiece. Just don't get your hopes up about owning one yourself. The series is limited to 50 watches and the rumor is that they were sold out before the unveiling. The white, brown and black headsets are smooth, unlike the pock-marked original design, and represent trash talk, sweet talk and dirty talk, respectively. We can't quite make out what the picture for sweet talk is supposed to be, but the dirty and trash talk are obvious. If we didn't already own a Jawbone for our in-the-car conversations, we'd nab one of these ASAP. Just 500 of these glittery rodent-redolent MP3- and WMA-compatible players have been made, and they come with lanyard-style earphones.

There's 1GB storage space, and you skip songs by twisting Mickey's left ear — exactly what I do to my "special friend" when I want him to change the TV channel.
Gibson Intros "World's First Robotic Guitar": Tuning May Be a Thing of the Past

We posted a video of the Robot Guitar in action early last month, but now we have some sexy pics and some release date info for guitarists the world over to get excited about. In case you haven't heard, the Robot Guitar can tune itself with a simple push of a button. Servos in the headstock can tune the guitar to one of seven presets; with default being A440, and the remaining six being based on hit songs. The guitar can also be tuned manually via a knob located on the body that doubles as a volume controller.

Unfortunately, the first run of the guitar will be limited to 4000 instruments (10 units in 400 stores); and I have no doubt that when the price is finally announced, it will be far out of the range of your average garage band. Still, if you would like to take a shot at picking one up, December 7th is the day to remember.
D-Link's all white DIR-660 Limited Edition Wireless N router looks great on the outside, and performs decently on the...outside. There's MIMO, which is fantastic, along with an OLED display on the top for status updates, but an old Netgear G router i4u tested with had better range than the 660 even in N mode. Speeds were great, but you give up range for throughput. Only good if you've got a tiny apartment, or you really love OLED displays you can only read from a few feet away.
Unconfirmed: Nokia N93i Transformers Edition

This is still unconfirmed, but intomobile is claiming that the Nokia N93 will get a Transformers edition coming some time in Q3 '07. It'll be essentially the same as the regular N93, but include a Transformers game, some background images, and Transformers-ish ringtones. For those of you who actually saw the movie, there's a scene (video after the jump) with a N93 doing some transformations of its own. No confirmation on this rumor yet, but it sounds fairly reasonable to us.

Peter Moore on the Limited Edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 Console

Remember that tepid reaction to the limited edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 announcement at Microsoft's press conference on Tuesday? We had an interview with Peter Moore earlier today, and Moore blames the reaction on himself and his "showmanship" as a presenter. Moore also says he's not worried about the reaction of the crowd, and will judge the reaction of the console by how much it sells.

He also reiterated that the Halo 3 Xbox 360 will be a limited edition console (as in it won't exist forever). Moore dismissed the question of whether having four SKUs existing simultaneously will be confusing by pointing to the fact that the Dreamcast had 15 SKUs simultaneously at once, with many different colors and designs. We're not sure justifying what you're doing by pointing to the Dreamcast is a good idea, but there it is.

This sunny-side-up DS Lite is the limited edition result of a love-in with PIkachu and Nintendo. However, the bad news is that there's no guarantee you'll get your paws on one, as this yella fella with Pikachu etched on the cover is so limited that it's only available via a lottery system (and $139). If you live in Japan, get yourself down to the Pokemon Center and on the list from July 20 onwards. – Ad Dugdale

It's a different shade of pink than the limited edition Willy Wonka Zunes we saw last year. He's been an avid user of the Sidekick since 2004, and designed this Sidekick 3 to look like the interior of a luxo-sport automobile, further personalizing it with his own number 3 showing up on the 3G smartphone in glittering gold.

It has the innards of the stock Sidekick 3, but D-Wade has chosen a swank white, tan and gold exterior with a special basketball-textured back for easy gripping. Just don't slam-dunk it, D-Wade. No pricing information was available, but this looks like it would command a sizable premium over an ordinary Sidekick 3.

It's got back, too. Take a jump shot for a gander at its basketball-like dorsal side:

Limited Edition Pink Zunes in the Wild (and on eBay)

Even though the Zune isn't setting any sales records, Microsoft's releasing their limited edition pink and (i think orange) into the wild in limited numbers.

A guy bought what he thought was a white Zune, then came back and found it was a limited edition pink one instead. After reading the certificate of authentication, he promptly placed it onto eBay, hoping to make a buck so he can buy another, regularly colored White Zune.

There's only 100 of these in the wild, and seeing as they're not marked, you're probably going to have as much luck getting one as you would trying to find a chocolate river running through Johnny Depp's house. – Jason Chen

Limited Edition Sidekick III Coming In The Next Few Weeks?

Reader Abe was digging around the sidekick.com site, the same site T-Mobile used to launch the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, and found some hidden easter eggs. After finding all five eggs, the site displayed a message to come back on August 11th for "hidden treats". Since August 11th came and went without any announcements, Abe emailed the company that designed the site for T-Mobile to ask them whether there were any updates coming soon. Their response: check back in a few weeks for some nice Limited Edition stuff.

Now if this is true, it would mesh very nicely with the Sidekick Timeline we posted about almost a year ago, noting that there's a Sidekick III Limited edition due Oct. 6th for $399.
Samsung Digimax i6 Titanium Limited Edition

Samsung rolled out its Digimax i6 camera at CES, and now it's added to that line with the swank-looking Digimax i6 Titanium Limited Edition it showed at the Korean Photo & Imaging 2006 event.

Even without its titanium skin, the camera brings a lot to the table with its music player on board and ability to play movies on its 2.5-inch display. Its 6-megapixel sensor uses a 3x optical zoom to get the job done. It's nice and slim, too, at just three quarters of an inch thick. Pricing wasn't announced on this titanium model, but it shouldn't be much more than the original black one, around $300.

Lovin' the look of the Casio G-Shock MR-G, and it doesn't hurt that this rendition is even more shock- and scratch-resistant than its predecessors. Featuring a radio-controlled chronograph and solar dial, the case and the band are made of titanium. And the the glass is pure sapphire—making it fairly indestructible. The watch is also waterproof and features a stopwatch, analog/digital time display, automatic power save mode and 24 month run-time on a single charge in power save mode. They go on sale in February of next year and are running in a limited edition of 1,000.
