    Where Is Xbox Live Anywhere?

When you have Microsoft's VP of LIVE, Software and Services for Interactive Entertainment Business John Schappert in front of you, you can't not ask whatever happened to the long-lost Live Anywhere service. So we did. More »

    Microsoft E3 Keynote Archive

We're inside USC's Galen Center in lovely pre-apocalyptic LA, waiting for the Microsoft E3 keynote to kick off—it goes down in half an hour at 1:25PM Eastern, but our liveblog kicks off right now. What's Microsoft gonna unveil?

Coming Soon: Add Friends From Mobile Xbox Live Apps

Right now, you can check out what your Xbox Live friends are up to from your phone, but you can't actually manage your friends list from any of the mobile Live apps (and Xbox Live Anywhere has gone MIA again). But the developer of one of the better ones, 1337pwn, says that Microsoft has made a change to the site that makes it possible to add friends remotely, and he thinks "that we can get it working," though he's not making any promises yet. Now if Microsoft would just lift that damn 100 friends limit so you actually could add more friends. [MTV Multiplayer]

Microsoft Xbox Live Anywhere Service Is Still Alive

Remember the Xbox Live Anywhere service that Microsoft demoed two years ago? It was pretty neat, the idea being that all your devices can be tied into the Live network we know and love. But it more or less fell off the radar earth, until today at the Electronic Gaming Summit, when Microsoft's Jeff Bell said it was still alive: "Live anywhere is not abandoned, it's just not easy to do." Hopefully that's not the last we hear of it for another year. [Kotaku] More »

    Microsoft's Xbox Live Anywhere Explored

Microsoft's latest patent filing is finally giving us a deeper look into what they plan to do with their Live Anywhere service. Even though it's been a year since Microsoft first demoed the Live Anywhere concept—which promises connectivity from all devices into the same Xbox network—at E3 2006, the only advancement we've seen is the ability to play a handful of Xbox Live games on Vista with your buddies on Xbox 360. All the really cool stuff—playing XBLA games from your cellphone, playing games from your Zune, and communicating anywhere with your Live buddies—has yet to materialize. More »

Microsoft Launches Xbox Live Pipeline - First Step Towards Live Anywhere

Microsoft's just launched the Xbox Live Pipeline website, which is an online catalogue of Xbox Live Marketplace content for (potential?) Xbox 360 users. It's a lot easier to browse all the various content available from a web browser than from the 360, which points out some flaws in the XBLM design. More »

A Shot of Xbox Live Anywhere, On a Mobile

I know, I know, the picture is blurry. But that's just because you're like us: So excited to see this picture of Xbox Live running on a Windows Mobile phone, in person...well, it feels like you're RIGHT THERE. The point of this whole post: If anyone has better, new pictures of Live Anywhere, send em my way. We'd love to share them with the Internets on your behalf. More »
