Gizmodo buddy Ramon of Ultimate DS, Wii, and PSP mod fame is back, this time with a Samus Metroid mod for the Nintendo Wii. Not only does it have a big S on the side for Samus (or Sexy) and a Wiimote battery charger built in (!), he's painted the parts red, orange and green to match her motif. He's auctioning this off on eBay, like his previous mods, so a portion of the proceeds will go to Penny Arcade's Child's Play Charity; which works to allow one lucky little girl to eventually grow up to don a suit of armor and shoot big brains in the face. If not, what charity am I thinking of? [eBay]

the Zelda mods he designed were incredible. but this takes the cake.
Hey can they ship one to he Asian kid so he can drop it off a rooftop?
very nice, how much?
Is he going to yell "Shazam!" every time its turned on?
Is there a good (& cheap) USB laser cutter that can be used to do mods like this at home?
'jaw hits floor... can no longer work today... must go home to change pants...'
Amazing work. I'm interested to see how much it''ll auction for - my guess easily over $1000+
holy shit thats NICE. the emblem, the colors, the lights, the holder.
Wait........ am i the only one thinking "Since when did the S on that logo mean Samus?"? For cryin out loud, it's Screwattack..... you know..... the one power-up you get in just about EVERY metroid game since i believe the second game or so.... which also happens to be the most popular power-up, and the most mentioned power-up. There's even an entire channel on GameTrailers.com NAMED after it.
The "S" logo used to be for the screw attack. But it became the 'Samus' logo since Metroid Prime was released. The logo was featured on the cover of that game even though the screw attack power-up was not found in the game.

I love you, Ramon. I want to marry you. If that damn thing didn't cost 850 smackers, I'd buy it. Now.
What he said. Do the people that run this site even play video games? I mean real video games, not over-hyped junk like halo. If metroid had a logo, it would be the screw-attack icon which anyone who's even played a nintendo console should be at least vaguely familiar with.
That is so awesome! I want it soo bad! But I like my warranty…
