This record is way better than John Howard's. Basically, his bike was hooked up to the back of the car (surrounded by a wind shield to create a vacuum for the bike). When the car got up to speed, the bike unhooked and he just slowed down. Dangerous still, but pretty boring:

Holy crap. stop the whining. It's a video of a guy riding 130 MPH! Lots of ppl wanted video clips the last time around...and now it's here. Just cuz the thing doesn't have USB or doesn't play doom, doesn't mean readers and editors don't appreciate it here. Christ the giz needs a ban monday like kotaku.
