The Puhlmann Nixie. Or as I like to call it, Dr. Zarkov's Timing Countdown Thingamabob. You install its 12.7 x 6.2- inch brushed-steel frame on your kitchen wall and you will be able to time your roast or wait for Flash Gordon to save the Earth. All thanks to its always fascinating nixie tubes, as you can see in the demo video.
You can order from the old continent for $340. [Puhlmann via Luxury Launches]

I'm iffy about this one.
Other than seemingly a bit overpriced, what's so iffy about it?
Nixies rock. Reminds me of the scale readout that my dad used to have at his grocery store back in the 70s. Cool look. Little spendy though.
I bought a nixie clock that had its directions translated (badly) from German. I was baffled, my two E.E. friends were baffled. I think it's sitting in a closet now.
Perhaps if we were to run it through an Engima machine, the instructions would be clearer.
I still prefer those Nixie wristwatch, especially if they have Krusty's batteries in 'em.

It looks like it was unbolted from the bulkhead of a Soviet sub.
I'll take three!
Well, the fact that the black background takes up so much space. It's definitely the design I don't like that much.
Also, one would think this would get a closer release to the Christmas season... perhaps October (a la the video ipod 2 years ago)
i love nixie tubes. but they are so expensive when the clocks come assembled. this one doesn't strike me as all that cool, but the nixie tubes are carrying it quite a bit.
How much power do those tubes suck up?
I love nixie tubes, but I've seen better nixie clock designs than this one. With the curved brush steel frame, it looks like it ought to be over the bulkhead of a submarine.
I wonder if I can take a router to my stainless steel fridge, cut out holes for the nixie tubes, and install this so I can tell the time as I pass the fridge? ...my wife would kill me, but it would look much cooler! :)
Nixie clocks are very cool! I think this one is pretty cool too!
I just purchased an assembled nixie clock board kit and I'm in the process if making a case for it! ...it's gonna be old school lookin ...very old school.
Looks like it helps me display how long I have left to get the water chip.
This clock is badass!
