Samsung is warming up their engines as IFA2007 approaches with these two new PAVV 40 and 46-inch Full HD LCD televisions. Their 120Hz engine supports 1080 progressive playback at 60, 120 and 24 frames per second and 25,000:1 contrast ratio for extra movie-like feeling, as well as their System Link technology —which apparently allows it to connect to the Internet. Korean-only for now, we hope we can see them in Berlin. Until then, check the obligatory TV-next-to-Sexy-Ninja shot after the jump. You know, for scale.

Damnit, how am I supposed to enjoy all this flat panel goodness? No sooner have I gotten a 720 plasma then the 1080p LCD comes out. I get that, and then find my world is crushed because it is not 120Hz. And now I find out that my TV does not have a 25,000:1 contrast ration. For f*ck sake Make it Stop! For the love of Dog You guys are Killing me!
Ohhh... Terrible end for pretty lady.
My bedroom isn't suited for a nice 37 of 42 incher. And too bad the 28 or 32 inchers - of any brand - don't have built-in Wifi, which is a must for me. For streaming purposes.
Oh, and on-topic. That's a bad ass LCD TV right there. And good scale too.
I feel your pain Windhawk. But take heart. Enjoy your place on the technology curve - live it up!
The 720P got recently is a bargain right now. The 120Hz 1080P big flatties are as pricey as they're ever going to be right now.
Someday you'll seek to replace your 720P and you now have something to look forward to ... some day. It's not about having the latest, greatest thing all the time. It 'should' be about having that next horizon in your future to look forward to.
But these contrast-ratings is starting to feel like what PMPO watt is to speakers; Useless!
@coach: Yes, "streaming"
;-)
This is basically the exact same as the 71-series here in the US. These TVs are just becoming available now!
She's not a very good ninja. I can totally see her.
And what self-respecting ninja would wear lime green, anyway?
@KERONIAN
"She's not a very good ninja. I can totally see her."
That would be your final thought before she sliced your head in two with a samurai sword.
