ZigBee: low power wireless networking

Ready for yet another wireless networking standard? Motorola is working on one code-named ZigBee, which works on the 802.15.4 specification, and supposedly will be used to wirelessly control all sorts of stuff like lighting fixtures and security systems. ZigBee will also be slower in speed than WiFi and Bluetooth, but make up for it by consuming less power than either of those standards.
