Theres a shitload of IPod lookalikes on ebay and you can get a 1 or 2gb for dirt cheap...this is basically what it is :)

Try walking through the Beijing electronics market "Zhong Guan Cun". If you make it without having to laugh about the iPod replicas for 15 minutes I'll give away a lollipop.

It's hilarious! The best thing by far was a combination between a iPod mini and a Sony NW-A3000.
It looked weird, and had both logos on it; The Sony Walkman one and the Apple sign above it.
Price was about 40$ sporting 4GB of storage.

I noticed that immediately. Play/pause upside down. With all those fun vivid colours, I don't see why people would want black for their shuffle.

I don't think this is a real shuffle. In the picture of the 'shuffle' out of the case, there appears to be a power switch next to the headphone / dock connector. The power switch on the shuffle is on the side opposite the headphone / dock connector, with the shuffle switch.

I bought one of these for 20 bucks a few months ago. Battery life sucks ass. It lasted 3 hours when I first got it. 4 charge cycles later I get maybe an hour and a half. It has decent sound quality.

This may even use the casting molds that are used to make the Apple Shuffle. There is a real problem with molds being retired "early" or disappearing. It the price companies pay when sub contracting business.

There is one for sale on e-bay right now, but the play/pause button is orientated correctly. ersatz ipod

This black iPod shuffle is a convincingly unambitious fake. It looks rather like the French fansite that spotted it got taken in by the realistic loadout: it's certainly a great mockup, with Apple-style packaging and the works. It's the orange-peel texture of the paint job that gives it away.

It's a real fake made colored with a Sharpie.

Looks pretty cool anyway....

I bought the 1GB version of this for $20. There is a 2 and 4GB version also. They do WMV as well. All for like $50 for the 4GB. Sounds awsome, too.

Still absolutely no competition for the zen stone plus. That and it's still freaking over-expensive. That packaging costs more than the device itself.

Damn, they fooled me again! The knockoff gadgets are always more colorful and appealing than the real ones. Ha ha, "assombled in China" I love Engrish and its complexity.
