@Dearhaw: Because he is trying to justify the iPhone by saying, for some incredibly illogical reason, the phone he used for texting and emails was not good enough to answer calls on. Not only that, but Apple decided that that was a valid argument and made a commercial out of it.

He also says, "I just get up, grab my iPhone, hop in my car and go," oddly forgetting his keys.
So there are other reason to dislike him.

I can't decide which one I like more because all 3 are equally lame.

these apple commercials really bug the heck out of me (not these specific parodies, but the real ones). they have brain dead people talking about random gibberish. Does someone really have say a blackberry to text and email and then another phone for voice calls? come on... I have two cell phones, but one is for work and one is personal. they both do text messaging and voice (surprise).

anyway, apple likes to rip off all sorts of stuff for their ads, and this one is a big rip off of the Radio Shack holiday commercials for the past year or two.

Just for the record, I still don't get texting. WTF? Talk on the phone, and if you want to IM go home and use your computer or take it with you.

@bbfreak: texting is a life saver. say your somewhere where you can't talk. class, meeting, loud concert/party. A text is a silent way to communicate. i don't know about you, but i don't carry my computer with me, and a really really long ethernet cable.
