HP's new Elite m9000 Series Desktop PC is as hardcore as a non-gaming desktop PC can get these days:
It sports an Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 and a DX10-happy NVidia GeForce 8400 GS card. You can order it with a dual-format blue-laser combo drive that will play back both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. It has "unlimited" storage expandibility, starting with double-HDD bays for secure mirrored disc arrays, and it's the first HP computer to have the all new Easy Back-Up button, which we assume will come in handy once you get your hands on HP's Windows Home Server.
Additional options include wireless keyboard, mouse and remote control, plus integrated 802.11b/g.

Holy damn now thats what I call a media center!
It's no wonder HP is number one.
Do want.
When does this go on sale? Has HP said anything about a date? They have FAQs up for it on the site but as far as I know you can't buy it.
What, no 802.11n? That must be a typo.
I just got my HP catalog today and this media center can also comes with a "quadruple tv tuner"
@baltwade: Neat...but there is no mention of a flux capacitor anywhere!
...sorry, couldn't resist :-)
all monitors seem to be inheriting the ugly apple club foot these days... nice pc otherwise
That blackbird and this. Interesting.
cool. and i'm just getting ready to buy!
my bads. I thought this was a "thanks to this week's sponsors" post
Monitor's bases could be designed better, but the HP W**07 series are great monitors. The glossy screen makes everything look sexy.
Nice specs, but way more firepower than it needs.
I don't want to know the powerhunger of that thing...
What do I need a quad processor for, again?
