3style Adds a Jogwheel to Your Mouse

This 3style Mouse combines standard mouse design with a jogwheel, an input device familiar to video editors everywhere, to create a new and pretty awesome looking way of controlling your computer.

The entire top surface can spin, allowing you to scroll through documents or quickly spin through footage with ease. Since the entire top surface rotates, there are no buttons on the front. Instead, pressing on the top is a button and squeezing the sides is a button.

Check out the video after the hop of how well this thing handles boring stuff like knob control and fun stuff like first-person shooters. No word on pricing or availability.

  • Me likey

  • Looked a little laggy at times. I've used a lot of jog wheels, and they have to be instantly responsive or they're really annoying.

  • They should put a little scroll nub (like the ones laptops have) in the middle.

    /then color it pink

  • Looks like it would be hard to rotate when being moved about; the person in the video had to stop using the other mouse features to rotate it. This could just be for show, but if it can't be used while you're moving the mouse then it wouldn't be very practical.

  • Boognish - glad you likey!

cjdshaw - well spotted on the lag - this is not the mouse, which is very responsive with 100+ fps, but the QT video player on the little G4 Mac. Need one of those Core Duo ones now ..

lordargent - obviously you like 'tactile' experiences :) you will love the feel of this mouse.

Foamator - yes you can rotate and move at the same time; although in '2D' mode this is deliberately prevented so you don't accidentally scroll while moving the pointer about. In '3D' mode or for gaming it all works simultaneously.
