A standout at CES was Belkin s CableFree USB Hub, which the company said would be available in April, but now says that release has been pushed back to early July. Belkin attributes the late release to general manufacturing delays. Enabled by Freescale s ultra wideband (UWB) technology, it was to be the first shipping product using that fast wireless protocol. We're still looking forward to roaming free with USB, and are thinking maybe it's better to have a working product in July than a dud in April.

Yeah, looks dirt simple to manufacture. Most likely electricals or software holding things up. It always goes that way. Beautiful product tho!
This thing looks absolutely fantastic. I'd love to get one. Oh it would be so neat to not have to deal with cables on a USB Hub! Can't wait for this to come out. Any idea on pricing?
I have so many great ideas to implement this. Firts is the HTPC setup, with a USB setup near the sofa for plugging in game controllers or cameras.
This is not rally the product we want. All of the usb devices are still attached to the hub by cables, and have to be in the same place as the hub. Okay for laptop users, I gesss, but the real cable free usb will plug into the computer and allow the devices to be anywhere.
