LG Flatron L1960-TR: They Want Your Images to be Vibrant

LG are hoping that their latest monitor, the Flatron L1960-TR, will appeal to consumers as much as graphic pros and photographers. The L1960-TR boasts 3000:1 contrast ratio - more than four times as much as its rivals, according to the Korean company.

The 19-incher features DFC (Digital Fine Contrast) control technology, which apparently makes images more vibrant and which, LG claims, "is as close as you get to the real thing." The L1960-TR has both VGA and DVI video imputs and will be joined in April by a wide-screen version as well as 20-inch and 22inch TFT monitors. Cost is $289.99, which is not bad when you're looking at $699 for something similar from Apple.
