SanDisk Intros Lots of Memory Cards

SanDisk announced lots of goosed-up memory cards, including an Extreme III 8GB CompactFlash card available in March for $560, and a 4GB Ultra II Memory Stick Pro Duo card ($240), also available in March, with a minimum write/read speed of 9MB/10MB per second. That 4GB size, by the way, is double the capacity of its predecessor. Another notable addition to the SanDisk line is its foldable SD card (pictured here), the Ultra II SD Plus, which will be available in a 2GB size also at a write speed of 9MB per second in addition to a read speed of 10MB per second. That's the card that includes a USB 2.0 plug that reveals itself via a unique foldable design. It ll be available in June in its new 2GB trim for $135.
