These cufflinks have antique watch intestines as their guts. The cogs don't wind anything, and its uncertain if they are functional at all. Regardless, Red Envelope, the premium gift store, is known for shiny gifts that have zero gadget-worth whatsoever, so we salute them for stocking such a geektastic gift.

For $125 they better play mp3's or something.
Hey it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity! What more do you want? Especially with the cufflink market awash with fakes these days... that $125 buys you peace of mind. And you can't put a price on peace of mind.
I got a pair of cufflinks as a birthday gift. They're great, but mine apparently came from a boutiquey shop in providence. Someone from RISD who makes them for less I presume?
It took me about 10 minutes to figure out what these things actually were....
For another version:

Since I was foolish enough to order a set, I thought I'd provide a little heads-up:
The certificate of authenticity is for the watch movement, so you know the cogs and gears really came from a vintage watch, FWIW. The cufflinks themselves are manufactured by Tokens & Coins (http://tokens-coins.com/), so you may be able to find a better price on them through one of the other places that carry their merch.
Since I'm not a high-class dude, my next step is to find a shirt. Cheers!
