I'm honestly torn. I've been looking forward to this thing for months now and I still havn't decided between the brown or black.

The white is obviously the ugly one ;)

I like the sleek sort of 'techy' look of a black player with a glowy blue bit, but I also really like the earthy look of a brown with green glowy.

I'll probably make the decision at the counter tomorrow when i get my hands on one.

I tend not to buy things in white and black is so new york. The brown will help me blend in on my morning walks and it won't frighten the deer.

I'd take the brown, I wouldn't want my Zune looking all pretentious in white, I'd rather it look like what it is. A giant piece of...chocolate.

You know, Microsoft wouldn't have done brown if they didn't focus-group the hell out of it.

I voted brown, because, frankly, it's a nice color. It matches most peoples' outfits better, it feels warmer than white and black, and it really satisfies the dirty hipsters out there.

Of course, I'll never buy a Zune since I don't have a PC.

Oh well.

Personally, I think the white looks the best. The black and blue doubleshot isn't as vivid as I expected it to be in person. I think I'd prefer a zune in solid black instead. I still haven't seen the brown outside of photos. For me, it's a toss up between the brown and the white.

I had to go with black, like my soulllllllll.

But, honestly, I could be swayed to the brown-side as well, I find it's mixture of earth-tones (well, as close as neon green will make it to earth-tones) fits very well with my wardrobe.

The black and blue looks corny compared to the classy "piano gloss" black and chrome of the iPod. White has been done to death by the iPod and brown? Well the people have spoken in regards to that color.

Should have gone pink with a Hello Kitty logo. That always sells.

Theres has been all these idiots whining about how bad the brown is, yet it has 39 percent of the votes. Hmmm....

I think that the brown is bad. I wouldn't care if it had 90% of the votes.

brown would be nice if it didn't have green double shot. I am looking a the White to match my 360, ds lite, and wii.

am i the only one that thinks the double shot is a little weird? i would have prefered the coating to be clear to show the rich colors underneath instead of two colors mixing and looking all weird.

double shot aside, i think all the colors have their merit, except that i have never been a white gadget fan cause it shows dirt easily. or maybe im just a gadgetist.

I would have to say brown, now that I see black actually means blue. Almost had me there, sneaky sneaky.

brown hands down, its original, i hope they do a dark red with black trim and a navy blue with white ice ... eventually atleast perhaps in a future model...

but its kind aplain to see that black and brown are the perfered choices, just check amazon's listings

I'll end up buying a brown one. I just like the green glow it has. Black would be my second choice. I can't go with white, because the exterior of the Zune looks like it would hold dirt pretty good, and the white would just showcase this fact.

And just because you don't own a PC doesn't mean you can't use a Zune. Then new Intel based Mac's run windows too you know. And if you don't already have an Intel based Mac, Uncle Steve Jobs is gonna be pissed. Hmm...he should make a brown Mac...and get the University of Texas' Football head coach (Mac Brown), to be the new Mac guy.

I agree with those saying the brown looks nice. I think brown has been gaining popularity recently. Chocolate brown with mint green or sky blue, are very popular color combos recently. I also thing the chocolate brown, moss green, rust orange color palate is making a comeback too. I personally have no need for another mp3 player. Especially a 30Gb one. My 60Gb iPod is already full which is frustrating since I got it so I wouldn't have to pick and choose songs from my collection, and now I have to pick and choose songs to put on from my collection.
I am sporting a brown ifrogz (www.ifrogz.com) skin though.

Brown is doodie. White is pure which I am not. Black is the eye of my heart which yearns for more darkness....

If swamp-brown becomes any amount of popular, it'll be because it's different, not because it's sexy. That it's not even trying to be sexy makes it hit the mark more than the black or white.

(Okay, maybe it is trying, but it's easy to imagine otherwise.)

I bought a brown one this morning for our developers to check out. It's different and the brown color really does not look bad at all. The green accent makes all the difference.

We make iTunes-like software, and we support the iPod. We may be able to do the same for the Zune. We'll see. It's a nice device, and a good first effort from MS.

Totally digging the brown over here, I'm even wearing a brown top and brown jacket as we speak. Then I went right ahead and clicked on the wrong button and voted for black... But seriously, brown is the way to go!

Brown Zune looks like it's made of Brown-25.

The white isn't so good. White should be shinny if at all present. As far as black and brown I would still have to choose black. For me earth tones are great if they come from or at least look like they come from the earth but the Zune doesn't really capture this feeling for me.

I would choose black.

Doesn't really mater for me though since I would rather have an iPod, iRiver, Creative, and so-forth. I would even take the Toshiba Gigabeat the Zune was made from; at least then I wouldn't have to work with that daft software.
