Those of you who have managed to brick or accidentally upgrade your PSP have been looking for this Pandora's Battery software even if you didn't realize it. The app lets you turn any battery into an official Sony Jigkick battery, which is what their repair staff uses to unbrick (and also downgrade) your PSP. Best of all, any homebrew-enabled PSP can do this, so you can just find a buddy with a working handheld to do this to your battery so you can fix your own PSP afterwards. [Maxconsole]

Bricks, Chen, Bricks.
If only she put that much effort into everything she licked then the world would be a better place. :)
P.S. Pandoras battery works great 2.
never get tired of that image.
she can lick my brick anytime... had to be the first one to say that rhyme - everyone's thinkin' it...
@barkingart: STOP SHOWING THAT PICTURE. Every post with that pic is 4 minutes of my day WASTED.
i remember this story when it popped up yesterday in maxconsole. :) so much rejoicing was done!
so happy that dark_alex never abandoned the homebrew scene. he and team C+D just made it perfect :)
I'm just glad that Pandora's battery doesn't Unclock
That is some serious hacker voodoo right there. I look forward to an enchanted Wii Remote which homebrew-ises consoles for dozens of feet in the vicinity.
hmmm.... I'm on the fringe of this scene (have some custom firmware on my little slice of gaming-on-the-go), but not sure what all this means.
But it sounds exciting!
What? Sounds exciting? SOUNDS EXCITING!? My friend in case you did not see the picture above and by all means you should, you will know that it does not just SOUND exciting, IT IS EXCITING! Would just ANY hot woman lick a PSP otherwise? I think not good sir; I think not.
oh yeah baby lick it...oh, um I'm sorry what about the PSP?
Great news! If this works on the new Slim PSP, this will truly be a great hack considering it's not even out yet. And I might have a better reason to get one.
YES! my tip appeared on gizmodo!!! haha
Anyway...this is GREAT news for people who bricked their psps...lucky enough im not one of em.
Im still wondering if it works on the new psp slim...that would be awsome.
Wat is dis post talkin about?!?!?!something about a brick???plz respond cuz im clueless!!
@Simpsons-Movie-ruled: I really hope you are joking.
Jessica Chobot should get royalties on this picture every time gizmodo uses it- far more than half the traffic to psp posts are generated by it.
@victorj:
According to Sony's FCC filing for the Slim a while back, the slim is still using a TA-085 motherboard, which is what current PSPs use IIRC
@NINJ4: I wish i was
the bay's already filled with people selling JigKick batteries and the memory sticks with the pandora's battery files pre-set up (DOESNT REQUIRE A SECOND PSP, BUT IS REALLY FUCKING ILLEGAL). i'm about to shell out $60 ($50 for the battery and memory stick combo, 10 for shpping), because i'm t3h laziest 1337 ever to roam the earth/don't understand how to set up the memory stick/need a battery anyway to do this, and i've had a (STOLEN, I GOT IT NEW FOR $75) jap PSP sitting on my shelf for a while because i fucked up with ThemePSP.
