Samsung has released the YP-K5 MP3 player in Korea. This is pretty unfortunate for everyone else in the world because this player seems pretty awesome. It supports MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG. It is available in 1GB, 2GB or 4GB capacities and includes a snazzy, slide-out integrated speaker. The controls also look pretty good, along with the LCD screen. Damn you, Korea. Share the cool DAP love every now and then. iPods are just so 2004, we need something new to tickle our fancy.

Seems that every freakin player these days supports OGG, but who the hell uses it?
Anyone? Bueller?
YEah, never figured that out either. Every DAP post makes a special point of talking about which players feature ogg support, and get all snippy when they don't, but I've never met anyone that uses ogg.
Linux users proudly use ogg. All two of them.
These sort of look like those OLYMPUS m:robe things, with the interface - yeah?
hmm after looking it up, its another open source format nobody is using http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogg
I think Samsung is quickly becoming a very nice contender against Apple, as far as design aethetics are concerned. Everytime I see something on these pages and "ooh and ahh" it, it always seems to be Samsung. I used to own a YEPP, but the file transferring wasn't working very well with my pc, so I bought a Sansa instead. As much as I love my e260, I DO wish my YEPP worked properly.
I do like my Samsung cellphone, though and ALWAYS get a compliment from friends who see it for the first time.
i think that the new sansung mp3 player is well gd!!!! i cnt wait to get one, i mean at the moment ive gt a ipod video and it looks so much better than it!!!!!!!! i know a m8 hu already has it and it is so gd
