Over 60 thousand dollars worth of iPods fell domino-style in this new ad for Tekserve, New York's famous and quirky independent Apple specialty store. If you're in the city, you can see it blown up on Madison Square Garden's 15'x30' LED displays at 33rd Street & 7th Avenue, from May 1st through July 30th.

not bad. would be cooler if it wasn't just a straight line tho. and the ending looks 'off' to me.
I'm curious as to how they got the iBook to open like that. And what is on the bottom of the first iPod?
The iPods (not just the first one) all have flat feet attached -- probably rubber to allow them to tip without slipping. I think the laptop was probably opened by hand, as the top of the lid it outside the shot.
Is it just me, or do these look like 4G iPods?
$60,000 worth of iPods in the ad. 10¢ of typography at the end.
what a waste of money.
There is no way that is $60,000 worth of Ipods.
Tekserve is awsome. The ad is cute, but that's not what makes them great. Great service, fun store. All of their "What Number Is Next" displays are on old classics.
Tekserve's advertising has always been a little low-class.This isn't an exception - good idea, very poor execution.
They are all various generations, the thrid looks like a 3rd gen, the fourth a 1st or 2nd gen.
It's a great little shop, which probably will be totally trampled by the new Apple flagship store on 57th.
$60,000 sounds a bit high... Seems more like a (hey anyone with an ipod! bring it to work on monday for a commercial we are filming!). The camera panning is also very choppy and just unprofessional, I bet they used fishing line or something to flip the ibook open at the end. Wow... lots of complaining here... I guess I'm just happy the units weren't destroyed :) I approve.
So THIS is what Apple is doing with the recycled iPods!
Rikomatic, I'll bet you the Apple product of your choice that Tekserve will still be around one year after the new Apple store opens. I'd bet five years, but I don't want to have to keep track of a five year bet.
