  • Doesnt surprise me the PS3 weights a ton

  • Nicely built console, good features (BD hdmi all in the original console)
Now the wait for 2008 games (and some 2007 ones) and
    a more mature network.

  • It seems Sony learned a great deal about how not to build a console with the ps2(disc read error anyone?). Let's hope they can get that great package in a smaller casing, because the ps3 is huge an weighs a ton.

  • Although, the 360 would also be huge and would weigh a ton if its power brick were included in the actual console.

But yeah, I think Sony learnt their lesson with the PS2 about build quality. :D

  • I had disc read errors on my ps2 also. I sent it in to sony twice. Something like $60 total shipping. They said my laser was dirty. The next time it happened I done got smarter. I googled PS2 disc read error, watched 10 different videos of how to fix it by myself, took it apart and VIOLA it worked. Now when it happens, it only takes me 4 minutes to fix it. It only got dirty because I put my ashtray on top of it and because of the dog. I had one of the first ones in MN (the big yooge one) and to this day it still works flawlessly. 2 out of 10,000 sounds about right to me. Nothing is perfect, even Jessica Alba gets a pimple on her sweet beautiful ass every once in a while.
