Timbuk2's Hemlock and Q Backpacks Have Swing Around Easy Access to Your Laptop

Minox Spy Camera Goes Digital, Still Tiny Enough to Please Q
Spy-technology aficionados will know about Minox's miniature camera and it's genuine espionage heritage, and now the camera's gone all modern with a digital face lift. A 5-megapixel sensor's been plopped into the Digital SpyCam, which remains tiny at just 3 and 3/8 x 1 and 3/16 x 7/8-inches and weighing in at 2.1 ounces: small enough to disappear into a leather-clad fist when it needs to be concealed. With a lithium battery, and 42mm equivalent lens, plus capability of saving onto 16GB memory cards, it's no slouch either. Budding spys, and perhaps genuine ones (Mi6 take note) will be able to grab one now for $199. [Minox] -

Q Totally Phones in Bond's New Quantum of Solace VAIO
Overheard in MI6 4th-floor martini lounge: "Man, it used to be fun heading down to Q's lab. Shit blowing up all the time, everyone just grinning and shaking their head knowingly (oh, James) when I accidentally incinerated prototype after expensive and high-time-investment prototype. Now? Dude's just going to down to the high street shops and slapping some logos on. Look at this laptop—it's garden variety Z-series: 13.3 inches, Core 2 Duo, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, 3G connection, Blu-ray. And he's billing M £3,000 ($5,300) for it. Same for my phone. I mean, they're nice and all, but WTF?" [Gadget Review, T3] -

Question of the Day: Do You Miss the "Q" Character in the New James Bond Films?
As most of you already know, Quantum of Solace is scheduled to hit theaters on November 14th. The second trailer for the film came out last week and while it does seem to feature some Minority Report-style gadgetry, there is still no "Q" gadget guru in the film. Personally, I love the direction that the Bond character is going in, so I haven't really missed the over-the-top gadgetry. But what about you? Do you miss the "Q" character? More » -

Motorola's Q Going Windows Mobile 6.1 Through AT&T
The Motorola Q is finally getting the Windows Mobile 6.1 treatment through AT&T, who's stores are said to be taking in shipments of a new silver version of the handset. This is good news for enterprise customers who are tied into the WinMo world. No word yet on when these will hit the shelves, or if there will be an upgrade available for current AT&T Q9h owners, but it's likely we'll hear something soon. [BGR] -

Motorola's "Napolean" Q World Phone Gets Leaked: CDMA + GSM Included
Motorola's got another Q in the queue in the form of the new Napolean world phone. It's a CDMA smartphone for Verizon that does double duty with GSM, so you can use it pretty much anywhere. It also includes Wi-Fi if you're not feeling like using its EV-DO Revision A or EDGE data, runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and includes a fingerprint scanner and a 2-megapixel camera with flash. It sounds like a great phone for world travelers, but probably overkill for anyone else. [BGR] -

The Veldini Q Wristwatch Was Inspired By James Bond: And it Has the Spy Gadgets to Prove It
Even if eavesdropping on your co-worker's personal phone calls is the closest you will ever get to becoming a spy, a watch filled with spy gadgets is hard for any man to resist. Perhaps that is why Veldini plans on releasing at least 3 different models of their new "Q" James Bond inspired wristwatch. Each will feature its own set of tools geared towards a specific scenario: outdoor use, spy use, and everyday use. More » -

Official: Motorola Q Coming to AT&T
For those of you who were waiting, praying for the Motorola Q to come to AT&T, we have two things to say. One, you can quit it, because AT&T's just put up a promo page detailing that their Q wil have WM6, 3G, integrated GPS, quad-band GSM, BlackBerry Connect, Push Email, XPress Mail, and the same old Moto Q design. The second thing: get some taste in phones. Motorola Q's are pretty darn lousy, as both Wilson and Charlie can attest to. [AT&T] -

Motorola Q Pro Spotted Again, Next to Lesser Q
The upgraded Motorola Q has been spotted yet again. This time it is resting cozily next to its lesser, insignificant brother, the regular Q. It looks like Motorola ditched the red letter seen earlier for some normal, white letters. Not much info. My friend just told me it was "fast", so I'm betting it has HSDPA/UMTS.
Hopefully this Q will be a bit better so people will stop their bitching already. More » -

Motorola Q: A Deal at $75, on Amazon.com
Just a heads up for bargain hunting Gizmodo readers. Over at Amazon, the Moto Q is now as cheap as it is thin, at $75 after Verizon and Amazon rebates. Motorola Q Gets Delayed ... Again
The Motorola Q news has been running rampant lately. We've seen it being rumored to be released last month, seen it in the wild and even heard about it's latest abandonment of a European release, but today we are hit with another shocker as the Q gets officially delayed another month. The Q had an initial release date of Q1 2006 and with this delay the Q might be pushing that estimated release to its furthest boundaries. At this point we are just hoping to see it by the 2006 holiday season. More » -

Motorola Q Phone Says Buh-Bye to Europe?
BargainPDA is passing on the rumor (via the French website Mobinaute) that "the Motorola Q has been cancelled in Europe and the only model that will see the light of day is the CDMA version to be released in the US on the Verizon network." You may remember that the Q phone was originally slated for this month, then Motorola announced it would be available for Christmas—but never delivered on the promise. The fate of this phone is anyone's guess, but after getting some hands-on time with it at CES I don't see why Motorola would continue delaying it. Unless, of course, they want to replace the Windows Mobile 5 with that new Linux OS (the one they announced with the ROKR E2), which would be more than fine by me. More » -
