In light of all the recent iPhone update problems, we wanted to ask readers what you think Apple's intention was with the update. Do you think it was a malicious disabling of phones, as in Apple knew it was going to render unlocked iPhones unusable and didn't do anything to avoid it? Or do you think it's more of a side effect of engineers needing the parts of the phones in a known state—a state that was modified when the phone was unlocked by third-party software? Does it make a difference for you either way?
