  • How much would one of these babies be.? i wonder..

  • Which has a greater absorbency? The Pearl or the Curve? Whats next? "BlackBerry Ultra" with a smooth plastic applicator?

  • As posted yesterday you can get a Pearl upgrade from Cingular for 99 bucks.

This thing hasn't got anything over the Pearl - apart from being bigger.

  • So for everyone keeping track, deviations from the pearl:

Pros - Full qwerty, 2.0MP Cam to the pearls 1.3, full screen video, 3.5mm audio jack, better speaker.
Cons - .7 oz heavier, .4" wider, and of course $$ (TBD).

Nothing revolutionary but a nice refinement to a pretty decent phone.

  • Hrrmm... how come no ones complaining about lack of 3G(or even Wi-Fi) in this new phone? Oh, that right, because its not made my Apple. But hey, you can get all tactile on the keyboard.

  • Another review that might be worth linking is BBCool's.

  • So me and my buddy who have a little IT consulting business on the side here in San Diego noticed that we've got a few extra dollars floating around in the account. We spend a fair amount of time outside, because, you know, it's San Diego, but both of us get that itch like we're missing important communications if we're away from our computers for too long. I said, "hmm, is it time to pick up some smart phones?"

"I don't know. I'm afraid of falling into the world of the Crackberry and not being able to find my way out."

"But this thing looks so pretty."

"Yeah, you're right, let's see how much it costs."

So, barring some ridiculous price point it looks like we might be picking up a couple of these when they hit the streets.

  • Actually, this has nothing on the Nokia E-series, or even N-series both of which have built-in wi-fi, 3G, and VoIP capabilities at around the same subsidized cost..
Too bad they aren't really carried in the U.S. in uncrippled forms.
