Robots Get Skin, Souls, are Now Real Boys

roboskin_250.jpgUniversity of Tokyo researchers have created a form of robot skin that reacts to touch and temperature and may, in the future, react to strain and light levels. The skin is pliable and can cover multiple robo-surfaces, leading to robots that can react to more than just visual stimuli, and, in the case of the Roomba, pounding into stuff.
