A new robot is on its way to Iraq under the banner of the Navy which can be used for remote operations diverse as surveillance or rocket launchination (although I doubt there is any actual plans to arm them). Shown here with a multi-purpose claw, the Talon robot from Foster-Miller can even work underwater to disable live grenades and ordinance. 100 of the treaded robots will be sent over to do the work that might otherwise make statistics out of our soldiers. Not a bad trade for just $25 million.
