Kindle's nice and all if you wanna read books and stuff, but this is much more awesome. It's a "Revoltech Danboard, Amazon box version," but to me it looks like the kodama with clicking heads from Princess Mononoke, except with Amazon stamped all over it. The only thing that would make it more excellent is if this was a regular shipping box that transformed—with the Transformers sound—after you pulled your goods out. Or if they shipped it outside of Japan. (They don't.) [Amazon.jp via Hobby Blog via Gadget Lab]

So is it a bunch of boxes, or a toy to look like a bunch of boxes and if so why?

I saw this before actually, what none of these sites are showing is that the box head comes off and you have a little anime kid looking around. the eyes also light up, you can see the little switch on the left side of the box head.
Drab packaging material by day, robot superhero by night!
Here is the non-Amazon version if anyone was interested in a plain box-robot:

I am Amazon Prime! Autobox, TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!
I've been looking for a reason to say that for forever. Now that I got it out of my system I can get back to being a productive member of society. 8^D
give this to your boss to be used at the company party, and you bring "Recoilless Auto Shotgun Fires 300 Rounds Per Minute, No Cleaning or Lube Required", FUN.
Amazon is the new Google, or are they the new Apple?
@dysthymia: Tell me where you work so I can avoid that party...!
