Here's how the Helio Fin, the thinnest clamshell in the US, stacks up against other equally thin phones. As you can see, it's pretty much the same thickness as the iPhone, which is amazing since the Fin actually flips open. It's slightly thinner than the HTC Touch, and is dwarfed by the bulge-tastic Helio Ocean. More Sizemodo after the jump.

is that bed head on the photographer? :)
Yeah it's thin, but when are they gonna make a custom Meebo or a custom Facebook web application interfaces the Helio Fin, Ocean, or HTC Touch??
someone needs to make a WM phone with a screen as big as the iphone
Igneous, There is a WM Phone by Toshiba with a screen even larger than the iphone with a 800x480 display. It's called the Toshiba Protegé G900.
agreed, Helio needs Facebook integration. Myspace on Helio is a great app, they oughta just duplicate it!
how does the open-moko compare to these?
igneous, you have the htc p6300 or htc p3600, I forget which, that has a 3.5 screen. I find them too big though.
HTC OCEAN???
@tomasu: Exactly. Doesn't Pantech manufacture the Ocean?
I'm seriously looking at the ocean. The plans are a better deal than the iphones and its cheaper to buy.
how is this a sizemodo? ..can we get the normal block side by side? ktnx
Seconding the Ocean for being the only real competition for the iPhone. Better data (3g) and built-in GPS, plus unlimited text and SMS for all subscription plans (and it actually HAS SMS).
I wish the Ocean was slimmer, but I don't know if that's realistic without giving up the keyboard+number pad. Overall it's pretty slick; Helio is the BMW of cell phone companies.
I looked at the Ocean, but then, i realized that it would also not sync with Mac OS X.
Since the iPhone, i've not seen the 37 people that used to come back from the dead every. fscking. allah-damned. time. i used to sync my BB 8700c with my Mac.
oh, and i also don't have a permanent "Jessica Biel just rubbed up against me" bulge in my pocket that i used to have with the 8700.
@mullingitover: you mean MMS, the iPhone does SMS.
If you really want to send a picture to someone's phone from the iPhone, you just have to email to their cell phone email, not that big a deal.
The Ocean looks cool, but how does the battery fair with 3G and GPS built in?
the ocean's battery life, in my experience, is great I do alot of texting and I get on the inernet alot with it. my only complaints are that there's no flash support, same as iphone, and the keyboard is a lil cramped. what I wanna know is how long will the battery life last when i'm out and i download the gps voice-navigation on it.
I wouldn't buy a Helio, I don't care how cool the phone sounds. I have heard people complain a lot about the Ocean too. Maybe if it wasn't Helio it would be better.
@Crazydub: Never try anything new in your life no matter what because it would suck have to make your own decisions.
OK - can someone please put the Voyager (or the Prada) into this comparison? I have no interest in the Ocean or the Touch. So... it comes down to the iPhone vs the Helio Fin (or the Voyager, probably). Aside from size comparisons here, the best place to compare the two products is here:

I added a point and used your site as a reference. Awesome, awesome, stuff. I NEED A RAISE!!!
Here's the thing.
I love the helio ocean. I love my 100 a month unlimeted everything plan. BUT...the ocean doesnt roam in Europe!!!like what gives? I dont want to have to buy a new phone and a new phone plan just about everytime i fly overseas!!come on!! Im switching to the Iphone.
