Do all these smoking bans have you feeling down? Do you miss being able to puff away on your death sticks with impunity, no matter where you were? Well, this Crown7 "electronic cigarette" will allow you to enjoy some piping-hot nicotine wherever you are, be it a place that allows smoking or not. It's basically a nicotine vaporizer, using nicotine cartridges to give you the drug you so badly crave. They market it as an answer to smoking bans, but it seems just as suitable for helping you quit your disgusting habit as well. [Product Page via Coolest Gadgets]

*waves hand in Jedi trick* "You don't want to sell me death sticks"
Soryy. No smoke--no pleasure....But I'll try it.
See ya
@Kaiser-Machead:
Try it__you might like it
So Adam, how does this compare to the HappyVappy ;)
Funny, It says "None of the smoke", but the picture shows smoke coming out of it.
@Kaiser-Machead: That made my day...
I've seen a few incarnations of this idea (one was actually by a cigarette company a while back), but none seem to stick around.
hmm.. this thing might be cool enough to get nerds to start smoking. not sure why i said nerds and cool in the same sentence, but you know what i mean :P
@Keebler:
Thats because they're prohibitively expensive to purchase and maintain. Historically people get screwed when whatever company made the vaporizer of the year goes out of business, and it becomes impossible to acquire those damned proprietary nicotine cartridges, which are way too expensive to begin with.
The other thing is a user operability. you have to suck on the damn thing for 10 minutes. I'm sorry, but if you have a device capable of delivering pure nicotine, why can't i get my buzz in one glorious inhalation? Furthermoe the battery life sucks (no pun intended) on these things. Unless it can do it's job 20 or 30 times a day without falter, it's an inferior product no matter how safe it is. And it isn't; Nicotine itself is carcinogenic, in fact in the doses that are in smokes, it's THE big problem. eliminating all the other crap doesn't really matter, because nicotine itself damages DNA on a purely chemical level.
What we NEED is a device capable of vaporizing plain old tobacco.
Either that or something to shut up all the whiners. *exhales*
FROM THE WESITE:
"Emits a Harmless Vapor"
What a sham! As a smoker whose researched exactly what it is im doing to myself, I can tell you, nicotine is far from harmless. It is itself carcinogenic, addictive, and contributes to heart valve plaque buildup.
Anyone have a guess as to whether these cartridges can be homemade or modified, so as to fit them with more exotic smoking substances? If so, I bet I know quite a few people that would be willing to part with that 65 bucks. Even if you can't, those things look friggin cool. Incorporate a laser guide and an LCD somehow and I'm sold. Give me dem space smokes!
@The-Spectre: I've experienced another of vaporizer, and it does emit a visible vapor, which seems a little closer to steam than smoke. The vapor dissipates very quickly, unlike actual smoke.
meh...i prefer the real thing...you die 10 years earlier, but i don't want to live during those last 10 years anyway..they will be horrible...and the other thing you guys featured "simplyquit" i think is better than that anyway..it doesn't have carcinogenic nicotine
The last ten years can be wonderful if people actually knew how to take care of themselves. ;)
Doesn't apply to everyone but that kind of rationalization only helps you make crappy life choices.
Or you can just quit =/
So pathetic.
I think I'll market a way cool multi-purpose self-awareness product... I'll call it The Super Shiny Smoker's Shame Device. You could also use it for shaving, popping zits, picking shit out from between your yellow teeth...
I'm sure this is all funny and dandy to you people, but for someone who has cancer and who CANNOT stop smoking, this product is a good option. No matter how much I have tried, I couldn't quit. For people who are looking for an item manufactured in USA, try digicigarette.com
I've tested this device several times on actual smokers and let them draw on it. The battery lasts about 350 draws, the cartridge lasts about 350 draws. Pros: No waste, cigar/cigarette doesn't continue to burn. You don't have to throw away an unsmoked butt that is half done. The smoke is incredible. The user can taste, smell and roll the smoke through their noses/mouth just like a real cigar. The Nicotine Buzz hits in about 20 seconds or so and is felt in full in about 5 minutes. When the smoke is inhaled, no one else can even smell it. Cons: It's a bit expensive at $129.95 for the initial set up, and the refill cartridges at $5 each are available in Hi (like regular cigars, Medium (light cigarettes), Low (Ultra light cigarettes) and NO Nicotine at all. Just the taste and pleasure of smoking.
Cons: Some people are weird about those who smoke. Like even if this thing won't kill you, doesn't have any odor and the smoker is helped by not sucking down toxins, they still don't want you to use it. Some people think that you are smoking tobacco, and give you the strangest looks.

PS...Nicotine is a stimulant, like caffeine, and in small controlled doses is not harmful.
Rustyace, who seems to have all the answers to addictions, has failed to tell everyone that he/she is involved with Revelle and their multi level marketing scheme to sell these (as they call them)"nicotine delivery devices". The organization pushing this product doesn't want ANYONE to stop "smoking", they WANT EVERYONE to be addicted to THEIR nicotine product otherwise their pyramid scheme would fold!! It's pathetic that anyones greed would focus its self on a habit that kills buy addicting children. When children see these " nicotine delivery devices" how will they know the difference between adults smoking tobacco or a pyramid scheme device ? Kids won't know. And whether it's the tobacco industry filling our bloodstream with nicotine OR a multi-level-marketing pyramid corporation filling our bloodstream with nicotine, the end result is the same....... ADDICTION !! Kids copy what they see, and nicotine is carcinogenic. Bladder,Liver , Stomach and soft tissue cancer are just a few.And, to say the "vapor" is harmless....that is very irresponsilble ! Of course there are traces of nicotine in the "vapor"... if you suck it in your mouth then blow it out your mouth and nose.... ugh, that's disgusting and nicotine filled.Quite the scam brought about by selfish greed..... Revelle has no intention on helping people quit , they just want them to "smoke" their product instead.
