In addition to updating OS X Tiger to 10.4.11 for both Intel and PPC Macs, Apple's pulled out their software dump truck and are updating almost all their apps. iPhoto, Pro Apps, Compressor, Cinema Tools, Color, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Soundtrack Pro are all getting updates as well. In addition, there's a security update for Panther 10.3.9, and a feature update for Safari on Windows that includes lots more shortcuts, more window resizing options, and spell/grammar check. Looks like there's stuff for everyone. [Apple]

Hm. Mines not showing up in updates yet...
All I'm seeing is 10.4.11 -- but I read elsewhere that includes Safari 3 for Tiger.
a patch for 10.3? wow, good for them. looks like it's gonna be update city for me.
Fat (46.1 MB) OS X update for PPC downloading now. Want 10.5.1 before I spread the Leopard Family Pack around, one computer is enough on 10.5.
Anyone have any ideas when the iPod Classic firmware will be updated? It's widely known that it's causing batteries to seemingly run down in minutes. Well... I say widely known, but if Apple admitted that they knew, they'd fix it.
Today, I got 10 minutes use out of it from a full charge, and it refused to turn on again.
My Classic isn't showing any hint of a problem. It runs all week on a charge. This is the first I've heard of it.
Same here with no battery drain issues on my Classic.
The glacial menu performance when trying to navigate playlists immediately after waking the iPod up? That's another story.
This 10.4.11 update seems a little over the top. I don't need my mac to tell me to upgrade to Leopard every time I start up.
Well, I did it and now Safari doesn't work AT ALL, launches but will not go to any site! (I was running 2 as my banking didn't support 3!) c'mon Apple, you can do better than this!
Safari seems to be running fine here with just one leeeeeeetle exception - windows won't close. I can close individual tabs just fine so long as they're not the last tabs in a window but neither the close window jewel nor the command+w shortcut will get a window to actually go away.

I had the same issue. For me, tracking down and uninstalling the bits of the Taboo plugin fixed this. Taboo's function (warning when trying to close a window with multiple tabs) apparently conflicts with Safari 3 -- which does this same thing now, making Taboo unnecessary anyway.
I got notification of the iTunes and Quicktime updates at home on my Vista64 machine and when I tried to install them they failed three times. I blamed it on Vista, I gave up. I came to work and it wanted to intall the same thing on my XP. It failed, I flipped off the software update tool and canceled. A couple of days later it came back on my XP machine and was sucssesful. Go figure.
