Slingplayer Gets Windows Mobile 6 Support

SPM-WM6-1.jpgHey, Sling fans. If you're the lucky owner of both a Slingbox and a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone, Sling's just released an update for their SlingPlayer Mobile that supports your handset. Among the updates and improvements are better Vista support, new remote skin, and a localized UK client.

It's free if you've already purchased a copy before, but it'll cost you $29 otherwise.

  • Where is the F'ing Symbian Slingplayer already??

  • Dang it... it sucks having a Blackberry. I have the Slingbox, but only get to use it with my laptop. I want to watch my Slingbox in situations where I'm bored but it's impractical to have my laptop and a wireless connection... like while I'm eating diner out with my wife (can you tell she doesn't read Giz?).

  • Why doesn't Sling just create a webplayer that would be supported by desktop and portable browsers? Now that would drive me to buy one.

  • Oh yeah! Sweet Sling on my WM6 phone. Too bad for you Symbian users.

  • Seriously? Are you guys really posting about the shipping? Do we really need to know every iota of information about the iPhone? I mean, why haven't i heard anything about the names of each and every developer who worked on it and the preference and color of their respective undergarments? This is need to know stuff people!
