Just after Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer finished the official launch announcement, I went to check out a few of the PCs on display that were running Windows Vista. So I strolled over to this laptop and was wondering how to log on when I noticed the handy piece of tape at the bottom of the keyboard with all the users and passwords. No matter how good the operating system gets, some users will never change.

Actually, you're brother gets an UPGRADE to Vista because of it... which is more or less worthless considering you keep all of your settings and files! I know because I have one of those stickers, and have to pay the same price everyone else does... *sigh*
(11:51:28 PM) cupchamp1 has signed on.
(11:52:08 PM) [My S/N]: V for Vista, baby!
(11:53:09 PM) cupchamp1: me love vista long time

Aren't there some ethical issues involved in posting someone's personal username and password on a popular blog like this? I mean, even Microsoft employees?
As an audio/visual technician I can tell you that this us usually done at the A/V tech's request. We're always the one's who are perceived as being "responsible" when something happens and there's nothing worse than having a screen saver come on in the middle of a powerpoint presentation and not knowing the password to turn it off.
Well, judging by the usernames and passwords, I think it's safe to assume they are demo accounts only, not someone's personal accounts. Not to mention the fact that they were taped to a demo laptop. At the Vista launch party. On the demo table. Demoing Vista.
The Yahoo username is dan_everest07.
A tip 'o the hat to chinaren, who was signed on as cupchamp1 a little while back. Your skills in deciphering unreadable scrawl would make you an excellent pharmacist.
n00bs...i shouldve ditched cisco systems for this job...=(
The password is demo123 for god's sake. Isn't it obvious?
This looks like part of their new 'advanced security architecture.'
Wow, creepy seeing another XPS M1210 online. If you have a computer like that, you should know better.
