Previously available only with the Q017-MD1 Qualia 017 MiniDisc player, the Sony MDR-EXQ1 earbuds will become the first product in the Qualia line to be sold outside of Sony's exclusive retail stores. The $200 earplug-style phones sport a brass housing, ostensibly because it improves response and the spread of low frequencies, or it could just be that they look, as they say in Japan, "badass."
