TechCrunch France and Crunchgear have two bits of information on the French iPhone that's sure to disappoint: no 3G and no unlimited data plan. We'll find out more at the Apple Expo in Paris later this month. [Crunchgear]

NOOO unlimited data? Hello $300 iPhone bills, euro style.
The French have surrendered yet again!
well, might not be as successful if the data plan isn't unlimited, but maybe will be offered with free and unlimited wifi plan? voIP?
macrumors has some serious serious UK launch gossip going on.
Hey, they're French - The French always want to do things 'their way'
They'll probably try to get iPhone-Minitel connectivity as standard before 3G LMAO
Dont know about France but we here (Austria) get 3 - 5 GB for +- 19 Euros. So not unlimited but i doubt that you get so much traffic via EDGE.
Actually, unlimited plans are not offered in many countries, although I do not know if France is one of them. (Not that we have truly unlimited plans here in the States.)
that's what going to kill the iphone in Canada, no unlimited data plans.
rogers is killing me right now with my black berry. 200.00 amonth average.
Mon Dieu!
Steve est un voleur!
I called it wayyyy back when. No 3G iPhone rollout for Europe. *bowing* Thank you, thank you.Expect the same for the UK and Germany. As for no unlimited plans, this is MUCH more common in Europe than you think. The folks over there are used to paying per minute for DIALUP.
