Foot-Based USB Sheet Music Turner Pedal

Anyone who's played an instrument and knows how to read sheet music can tell you that turning pages in the score while trying to keep playing is a pain in the ass. But with this Page/Score turner from Bili, you can use your feet to electronically turn the "pages" on your computer while your hands are where they're supposed to be—on your instrument. It's not that cheap, costing $59 for the page turner and $99 for the turner + a laptop stand, but if you read sheet music off your computer, it's either this or learning how to use a trackball with your feet. I'm pretty sure anyone can macro it with a mouse and use it with their feet...providing the have light feet.

  • Can't a macro like the good doctor above suggests be sound activated? Even chord activated perhaps? I'm no musician, but I feel like there is plenty of sound recognition, and even music recognition software that could be used for this purpose.

  • Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a wireless, or even wired numberpad for your laptop and just step on the 3 and 9 keys for Page Up and Page Down... I mean.. That's pretty much what I'm seeing here right?

  • The best way to do it on the cheap is take a wireless optical mouse, and place it over the next button and then just tape over the optics. Then you can put it on the floor and stomp away.
