Breaking: T-Mobile Pulling Sidekick Slide From Product Line

In light of the Sidekick Slide's recent problems, T-Mobile is pulling the Sidekick Slide from its product line. Readers are reporting the Slide is no longer on the T-Mobile product site, and anonymous inside sources are confirming the Slide has been removed from retail. This is convenient, seeing as Fridays (not to mention Friday night), are the best day to announce a story like this with the least news impact. More to come as we get more info. Sidekick LX Gets Release Date and More Grainy Shots

Following up on the previous grainy shots of the Sidekick LX, Hiptop 3 has more shots plus a release date. The date is supposedly October 24, which is far enough away from the holidays to make for a nice present. The LX looks a bit thinner/wider than the ZANTE, also known as the Sidekick Slide (we think). The sound you hear is 5 million teenagers smashing open their piggy banks in preparation for the 24th of October. Not so fast kids, this is still unconfirmed. [HipTop3]

    Motorola Zante In the Wild

It's one thing to peep studio shots of Motorola's Zante, the next evolutionary and yet unannounced step of the TMO Sidekick family. It's another to see it in the wild. This model is a bit beat up, so it's likely a prototype that's been around the block. As before, the specs are strikingly similar to the Sidekick 3's, with a ~2.4-inch screen, EDGE, 1.3MP cam, but with a sliding top instead of the flip. [Giz Zante] More »
