User WeezerX80 says: "I still can't believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently! Why oh why would they do this?! It's so wrong! It's so stupid! "
Reminds you of a certain other Apple product that may or may not have been announced yesterday doesn't it... #iPad#tips#whitenoise#apple
@weendex: For the love of....alright, first. Read just a few comments below, this archaic evidence of the future iPad's alleged success has already been posted. Second, the last thing I want to hear is that people ten years ago didn't like a device and THAT'S why I should buy this one today. That is an erroneous, lazy, and fanboyish argument. Third, the naysayers have legitimate complaints. The iPad is nice, yes. But it's not great. It's not fantastic. In fact, it's only mildly ready for primetime. These people are well in the right to criticize the faults in the product, especially after the veritable shitstorm of rumors the fanboys have been foisting on the rest of us for the last year or more.
If you want to say that you think the iPad actually is a good device, fine. If you want to say you think the public will appreciate it because of feature X, or method Z, have at it! I welcome it. But the last thing anyone sensible cares to hear is that this thing is going to be a revolution simply because ten years ago, people didn't like iPods.
The AppleTV wasn't terribly popular either. And it actually didn't sell well. My personal expectation is that this thing could become Apple's next big flop, but I prefer not to voice that opinion because I'm aware enough of the limitations of my viewpoint to realize I can be very, very wrong. How's about you try that out some, eh?
If this device is worth my time, or the time of anyone's here, convince us. Otherwise, stop telling us why we're wrong for not liking it because other people didn't like other stuff years ago.

(Edit comment)@OCEntertainment: Context. Try to stay within it.
Thanks.

(Edit comment)@weendex: I'm still mildly aggravated by the implications of your original comment....
...but damn if that was not a good reply. Well played, sir. You have my respect.
For now.
