It can be FedEx. It can be UPS. It can be any shipping service, really. They all promise to get your packages to where you want them to go but there's no guarantee they'll treat your packages with any sort of tender, love or care. Most likely, they'll be thrown around, banged around and destroyed in the process. Just look at this FedEx employee have fun tossing FedEx packages into her truck. I can see the appeal of chucking boxes but doesn't this just create chaos and add more work later?

Judging from the weight of those packages, it doesn't seem like anything extremely fragile is inside them (not like tossing iPhones or anything) but who knows! Being sloppy with packages definitely breeds bad habits (and makes your stomach jump up a little with every throw).

The video was recorded in New York on E. 44th Street around 6:15PM on July 24th. FedEx told Gothamist:

"We are very disappointed to see this. FedEx sets high standards of behavior and performance for our team members and this behavior falls far short of what is expected. We pick up and deliver millions of packages in a professional manner each year, and the actions in this video do not reflect our professional expectations. We have already contacted the management personnel responsible for this employee and the appropriate corrective action will be taken."

Hey, at least the FedEx employee wasn't stealing your packages, right? [Banstaman via Gothamist, Consumerist]
