.tox commented on Iron Man Trailer to Be Extended Into Full Feature, Sources Say @majortom1981: I totally agree. Since I'm not in the US, I've never before come across The Onion. It was only when I had my doubts about this video that I looked it up on wikipedia. What is the point in such a website? It may get a few laughs when people first see it but I'm sure the novelty wears off. But more importantly, why is the point of having this on Gizmodo? I'm not here to see fake news.

.tox commented on Kohjinsha Adds SSD to UMPC, Still Lame This writer has no idea what he's talking about. Kohjinsha is by far not lame, and their establishment and growing demand proves so. In fact Kohjinsha is still one of the top players in the UMPC sector. These specs are very reasonable for the UMPC market, even more so since this was written in Aug 2007.

Just LOOK at all the products you claim to be copying the Asus EEE. Asus didn't invent the market, and they certainly weren't the first to it. The market existed even before the EEE came out.

.tox commented on Confessions: The Meanest Thing Gizmodo Did at CES Towards all the people who truly believe they need to 'lighten up, CES is supposed to be fun!':

I don't think you understand the concept of the trade show. This is the one big chance for companies to show off their latest unique product to the truck loads of press and bloggers. It's not for the sole purpose of providing gadget-lovers their own Disneyland. Immature acts such as this can't be fixed just by turning the displays back on. Simply by having errors occur suggests faults and instability in design. Sure, of course if the errors happened naturally they have no one to blame but themselves. But the little stunt pulled here could have pushed away large potential investors and potential buyers, let alone lower the reputation of the branding that firms try so hard to improve. I see this almost as immature as script-kiddies DDoSing a website on their launch date. Just because you can, does not imply that you should.

I can understand Gizmodo wanting to post this seeing all the attention they're getting, but the people who really believe CES needs to 'lighten up' are the type of employees wasting their life working in Best Buy and pulling childish pranks to pass their working hours.
