Gizmodo commenters can simply put # in front of words to filter what everyone is saying about that exact string of words. Things like #whitenoise #trollpatrol and #corrections have become staples of Gizmodo's commenting system, which have their uses, but fosters exactly the kind of half-assery linguistics that this articles boldly tries to vilify. #callingthekettleblack
