Mis-leading yes. Wrong, absolutely not.

There are lost of reasons why people don't sign up for "auto pay". I am fine with charging for paying over the phone, lots of places already charge for this service. However, paying Verizon a fee for the right to pay your bill is asinine.

"Verizon Wireless is implementing this charge... ...in order to balance the support costs required for providing the convenience of these particular bill payment options to customers"

Also, They charge to pay online but paper billing is still free? do they not have a staff person opening the mail and entering/sorting the checks?

I respect your right to be offended by my use of profanity just as you should respect my right to use it.

Words are words (profound I know). The use of fuck or shit or any of the other greats as outlined by George Carlin say no more about my education, professional abilities, or taste than words like juxtaposition, fenestration, or homogeneous.

I have always held the policy that if something I say offends you, you should tell me and I will make an effort to no longer say things like that around you again. Respect is a two-way street. What frustrates me more than anything else is the ignorance of some who assume that four letters can define someone.

Fuck it, i'm out. :)

They Have nothing on Pei... Any good designer is going to focus on these things. They are all surprisingly easy to do when you are starting from scratch. Not to over-simplify but... "equal -dim - equal".

The Louvre is one of those spaces that continues to be interesting and give you something new every time you look at it.
Do standard rules apply? That is, unless you really HAVE to have it wait a week or so? Or, are most of the issues already worked out?
It is more likely that the icon for the app is a giant "F" for Fahrenheit and the celsius app is a "C" for celsius. If they could update the icon the apps use of the "badget" wouldn't be nearly as clever or needed.
All of the design elements are CSS and Javascript... There should be no reason why articles are dropped.

All of this energy into a site redesign (which I actually like and find more usable than the previous iteration). Are there any plans to update the mobile site?
Iran, this is why "Password123" is not a viable security option for your nuclear centrifuge facilities.
@gonzorider: Powerbook g4? makes a great modbook (tablet input) also you could remove the screen and make a pretty good HTPC (minus the netflix intel support only).

@bazookafox: "SHIFT", it gives you Windows 7 style window resizing/repositioning.

Hyperspaces is great if you want different images for you different spaces.

Rip-It (not free) is the best dvd ripper out there. I will fight anyone who says differently.

AppZapper is also a must-have

@bookwench: unfortunately, it would be neither eco-friendly or profitable...yet. We as a country would still need to subsidize solar panels to make their energy production (currently at about 5-7% effective if completely clean) in order to make them viable. There would be a significant infrastructure cost involved in building what are essentially light duty bridges across miles of highways and also plenty would have to be spent in maintaining the panels.

Its Friday, why do I have to be such a buzzkill? As the tech continues to improve it may very well become viable to do such ambitious energy production/shading projects. That is unless this women decides to raise her rates.

I put my turkey in the middle of a plate, add about a teaspoon of water then cover with an upside-down bowl before I microwave it for about a minute to reheat.

This works for anything that you may want to steam in the microwave.
I just had to help my dad move out of his house and found a pile of comics that I bought when I was younger and no longer want to keep around...15-20 yrs ago. Anyone know of a good place where I can price these to see if any of them have any value at all?

All of them are in protective plastic sleeves and only been read one time or so...

When I went through the Mexican airport I hit a button. If the light at the top of the pole was green, I could go through. If it was red, you got the extra screening.

I wonder why I don't see this in more US airports? Would this limit our profiling of elderly women and children too much?
@dtptampa: It's a bit of a misleading title leading one to believe that the article is about the UI when in fact it has nothing to do with calling the system "ugly". It is sad to see so many stars in the comments talking about different skins over the operating system and saying nothing about what is written in the article.

@Mike Zuniga is a Photographer Apparently: But Giz knows it was her fault that Apple hit her. Also, Apple said they wouldn't do it again. This time is going to be different...

Short of free iPods and BJs for everyone, I am not sure that there is going to much worth reporting on from this particular event.

Saw this, this morning on the front page of drudge and elsewhere. What is most unfortunate is that this man is now likely on the "list" and will receive special treatment from now on when he travels.
@Ash78 never wipes boogers above the urinal: Ah yes, the Diversity. A great old wooden ship. You would never be groped before embarking on a journey in this craft.
@JakeMG: Stunt Triple: I hate when they put those water fountains next to the toilet. They are so low and uncomfortable to use. I just don't get what could possibly go on In There that makes everyone so thirsty?
