"I think it would come down to the commander on board the Star Destroyer, obviously Piccard (we are talking about Piccard?) would be able to out think a run of the mill Imperial commander.
I'm pretty sure TIE fighters would be next to useless against the Enterprise's shields and that the Enterprise could:
Warp out if it got too damaged to continue fighting.
Lauch a proton torpedo at the bridge with it's superior onboard targeting systems.
Beam the imperial commanders out into space (the Star Destroyer has no defence against that.)
They could also beam a torpedo head into the engine room on the Star Destroyer...
The only way the Star Destroyer could possibly win was by using it's size to somehow ram the Enterprise."
"I was on a message board one time, this American was making fun of Canada and saying how the US military could "kick Canada's sorry asse." anyway, the canadian replied: "Canada doesn't really need a big army, no one hates us...""
