"If the ship is in international waters their whole legal environment and restrictive legislation entanglements melt away in major amounts saving tons of money in the process."
"In my case it is a mix.
I have multiple units around the house that are wall mounted, the one out next to the BBQ is in a custom stand mount with a motorized tilt and pivot mechanism for purposes of aiming it to where we are trying to view it from.
The one in the living room is on a motor driven drop down from the ceiling to hide it when not in use."
"Trust me the black edges is simply due to the choice of monitors in this setup.
Look around and you can find monitors designed with multi-monitor setups in mind that have ultra slim bezels and at standard viewing distance they almost disappear."
"Oh well

"Being a day trader I need the screen space
(2) 30 inch Horizontal mount above each other
(4) 24 inch wide screen down each side
(10) monitors toal (max XP Pro allows without special drivers)
Don't even ask about my trading room video wall controller."
"Professional Day Trader, between trading, research and blogs about 16 a day...take a couple of naps but the puter still crunches data while I catch 40 winks."
"It doesn't matter how much storage you have it's what percentage is actually in use for storage and also to some extent not duplicated.
The more you have stored away the smaller the percentage you will actually use as what is stored grows.
The rest is just bits gone to waste.
I could grab 500 gigs of MP3 and put them on a drive but I would only use a very small part of that day to day to listen to..the rest is gathering dust on the drive."
"I have internet connections all over the world in places I have business branches and yes our prices here are failures by comparison.
Satellite has lag it always will but it you are steaming Youtube for example, once it starts the stream you don't care, only interactive stuff suffers.
You DTV or Dish has the same delay , it just shifts you by a second or so."
"HeyBeav
I know dozens of people who travel on the road about 300 days a year as contract workers.
Some work in shipyards, some in oilfield short projects, some for refinery shutdowns and stuff like that.
Most of them look for motels with small kitchens or at least places that don't have a kitten if you prepare food in your room and clean up.
Many pack a double element hot plate, a mini frig and an electric skillet with them where ever they go because many times they are in areas far from any large supply of places to eat for variety.
The 100th meal at that sub shop which is the only place in town or grabbing sandwiches out of the 7/11 type store really doesn't cut it after a while."
