"@mconheady: You are completely wrong on thinking buying a HD-XA2 "been a mistake" for anyone kid! ...for us Home Theater people what matters is a well build, not "toy like", highly quality capable DVD player like the HD-XA2!...when you have a 92" screen like I do, out of a BenQ W10000 1080p/24 projector you want the picture out of those regular DVDs to be the best it can be so you can really enjoy the movie kid! ...and so far no player can match the HD-XA2 1080p upconverted picture of regular DVDs, never mind the great high def image from HD DVDs on top of that, (a recognized fact by industry experts) and my HD DVD collection will still be perfectly working fine for many years in the future. As for speed, eventually as you grow up and you gain patience, and outgrow the kiddy need for speedy crap less and less the HD-XA2 speed if perfectly fine with people like me for example, who are not in a hurry to enjoy a great picture at our Home Theaters kid, BUT to whom Picture Quality IS what matters! ...so, hope you learn about what matters in home theater, speed sometimes, but image quality ALL the time, THAT is what can make a movie experience been great rather than just ok!"

"My HD-XA2 is one of the best upconverting DVD players to date, this said by High Def Digest.com, Home Theater Magazine.com, Sound and Vision.com, etc....! [hddvd.highdefdigest.com] [www.avsforum.com] ...it has the Silicon Optix Reon Chip one of the best for upconverting regular DVDs to near High Def, I love mine, and Blue ray players can't come even close to it. ..so until someone can do the same Toshiba can be proud to say..."can't touch this"!"
