"Two points on this one:
1) Dvorak keyboards have been proven time and again to be more efficient and less RSI-inducing than QWERTY (which was 'designed' to slow down the typist) and yet all computers ship with QWERTY..."
"Well, until "We the people..." take back the airwaves that we so flagrantly let our pseudo-representative government sell off to the highest bidder (AT&T) then we get to deal with crap like this governing our access to those airwaves.
The FCC should open a spectrum band for general GSM usage and establish a not-for-profit org to manage the free licensing of such so dorks like me and my ilk can make our own wireless devices and talk all the dirt about the "spastic five" (AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, Verizon and Alltel) that we want w/o fear of losing our "right" to communicate freely.
Oh crap..."
"Yawn...
This is just RIM being lazy and buying someone else's predictive typing software instead of developing their own...
Hell, even Nintendo was able to come up with their own software for this in the WiiBrowser..."
"@Curves: Probably something like "Allnitegrrrl on Craig's List is looking for a kinky movie and good time with a 30-something SWM, would you like me to email her a pic of your shlong?"
@ghmlco: Well, if NEWGALACTIC's paranoia is realized, then your fridge and pantry would be grid-networked to your shopping cart, routed through your cellphone and the nano-RFID dust on your Land's End yoga pants and they cart would be like "Be sure to get the chocolate shell topping with that..."
"@konstantConsumer: You're about five messages late...
And to have my own two bits in, I think driving on the left side of the road makes more sense than driving on the right..."
"I was all about Airwolf, but thought it was really kind of a rip-off of Blue Thunder.
Then Jan Michael went and started beating women and drinking more than Nic Nolte, Mel Giblet, and Fi'ty Cent on a triple-kegger plus Atavan uberbender on The Strip."
