@KillerKoala: Do you actually live in Spokane? There's plenty of black people here, and there's a lot of white supremacists about half an hour away, just on the other side of the Idaho border.
I watch a lot of streaming video, and as long as it's smooth and not realplayer levels of blurry, I'm good.
I've set up live streams myself to show things off to friends, and it's not particularly hard to get some decent quality going. That just means it's that much more infuriating when a stream stutters and has to buffer all the time. If Team Sp00ky can broadcast over the internet every weekend for a few thousand people on what basically amounts to a laptop and a capture card, I'd think the big players in broadcasting could step up their game a whole lot more.
@madisomi: man of ren: You are clearly not interested in actually learning what science is based on (protip: it's observation). Maybe you should read less of those silly new-age philosophy books. #whitenoise
@Bdot: I recently hid the posts from a friend of mine who did this. As it turns out, my other friends have some interesting things going in their lives! I simply never knew because of one or two people posting nothing but white noise every 15 minutes.
Way back when, there was some DOS program that said it did the same thing. Trust me, I never got high off repeated PC speaker beeps. I did get really annoyed though.
@Devryn: Then I guess consider yourself lucky to live in a situation where you can afford to have strong feelings towards a maker of entirely unneccessary items.
Not trying to get all "first-world problems" on people, but there are a lot of things out there more worthy of anger than a company that makes luxury consumer electronics.
Okay, so we can't make one from Star Wars. What I'm not hearing is that we can't make one from No More Heores. Most of those have a restraining thing on the end to keep the beam from flying out too far and cutting a house in half.
@CrimsonKnight13: If you only use one computer then a desktop version is obviously the way to go. If you have to bounce around from desk to desk all day then being able to open up a web browser and pick up where you left off is great.
@darkfact001: Clearly, your people are better about not making big generalizations. And you'd never think of laying blame on your countriy's issues on millions of people who have never even been outside their own borders.
You live in an enlightened place, where ever it may be.
@sam4sb: I dunno, I've been pushing keys knowing full well I'm playing a video game for a few years. People who play music games really don't care that they aren't learning a real instrument. We don't care at all. If we did, we'd go learn a real instrument. Many of us do wish people who play real instruments would shut the hell up though.
@Agrippa: Oh. Well, I guess the only thing I can say is take the attitude you have about trolls in topics you don't care about and apply it to the topics you do care about.
@NorwoodIsMyHero: I've played LoL a couple times and it was kind of fun, and you don't have to pay money for that. So, there's that.
Bear in mind that since HoN went retail most people jumped to LoL and Riot Games is having a bitch of a time dealing with the sudden explosion of players.
