And unless you have software that verifies that all the images have been copied and copied correctly, it's dangerous. Plus if you are just using Windows to copy and you do get a glitch - your copy just stops and you have to figure out where manually - and then restart the process.

Unless you're just doing snapshots, you should get a D300. It has the same metering and autofocus as the D3 - and that's what will make the biggest difference in your images.

It's the supporting electronics that make that infeasible - unless you go to a separate body and back, like medium format cameras.

There is a need for cameras with resolution like this - but only for high-end studio and location photography.

All digital slrs now produce images are vastly better than film ever was.

But for professional use, you need more than a good sensor - you need great autofocusing and multiple spotmeters linked to the focusing spots.

There are no competing Windows laptops. The Air is about style. That's something the Windows community will never have.

But the main point is that a 1.6Ghz Mac with 2G of Ram can do everything the normal user would want to - as opposed to a Vista laptop of the same specs, which can't do much of anything.

That would be an extremely easy project to make yourself. All you'd need is a digital camera kit and a timer to trip it. The only problem would be blur if the camera is spinning too, but you could put that on a ball bearing.

Putting it on a Frisbee would probably work better.
