The biggest problem I have with people who criticize the "introduction of God to the show" is that they very clearly introduce those themes in the very first episode. I think to ignore the theological aspects of the worldbuilding would have been worse. Then again, I kinda liked the way LOST ended too, despite the disappointingness of the unanswered questions...

I'd lean toward better battery life, for sure, especially with the GM.
As far as syncing, you'll have to do it from the computer, though you CAN listen to anything in iTunes while on the same network through home sharing...
Another nice aspect is that even if you're using iCloud, you can still sync pictures, music, and videos over wi-fi, so no need to plug in ever again!!!
I just keep essential stuff in iCloud so I can still stay below the limit, and will hopefully be able to activate my phone and get all my apps, etc. without being hooked up.

Make sure you're using the right account. I think I have 2 or 3 find my iPhone accounts now with iCloud. One from MobileMe, one from iCloud, etc. Make sure you're signing in to the right account on both the finder and findee devices.
Best way to update from the GM to the official release? Will it even matter? If I have a registered UDID and I'm on the GM now, will I get OTA updates to the next dev release?

I don't consider myself "poor" (despite my nick) and I'm not obviously from a local housing project, but when my wife and I went to pick up a wii in the middle of the night a few Christmases ago, we went in hoodies, jeans, and winter hats, and someone thought we were looking to buy drugs, so... Maybe all the huddled masses at your local Best Buy were just not out in their Sunday Best? Besides, if you have such a problem with other people getting your Black Friday deals, what are you doing there in the first place?
