Wait. Damnitall.

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Commenters, Can We Have A Talk AGAIN?]]> @92BuickLeSabre: Personally never really been impressed with the guy...

Unfortunately, I can't add much more to the post that hasn't been asked: Does 'y' count as a vowel to the disemvowelment, and what if someone did something like "F1rst p0st!"?

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on NASA to Test Plasma Rocket at International Space Station]]> @velvetwoodstock: @Hiphopopotamus: I've actually read up a bit on plasma rockets/been talked to about them by someone working on them (VASIMR). It's not like they haven't already done test firings of the principle. I got to see the machine that they used for testing, though it was at the time running the pump to bring it back to a vacuum (the buggers only work in relative vacuums, or else things get explode-y pretty fast).

I've no idea how any of it relates to black holes, however...

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on ThinkPad X200 Tablet Revealed in Spec Sheet]]> @froggy: Not really wishful thinking. The x200 series is more or less a replacement of the X61s, which have a tablet iteration, and there have already been specs floating around.

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Wii MotionPlus Demonstrated in 3D, Jedi Drone Training is GO]]> @snakepliskin: Why didn't my PS3 come with rumble again?

Why didn't my (theoretically early-adopted) 360 come with a proper cooling system again?

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Double-Amputee on Cheetah Blades Fails to Qualify For the Olympics]]> His name's Pistorius? Wow. That sort of last name gives the feel of someone writing a story with the specific intention of giving the dude super-robot-legs.

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Nintendo Says They May Limit Number of Wii MotionPlus Games to Control Costs]]> @Mondoz: Because then, instead of having the game simply do a prerecorded swing when you do something, you somehow want it to follow what you want now? That's tons of new data, and Ninty games never, ever patch.

@MagnoliaBoy: Same here... patch games? No one had ever thought about patching games until this gen. It's hardly being greedy to not go out of your way to patch old games. That's like whining that hardly any games got 'patched' for the Genesis's umpteen upgrades.

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Nyko's Wii Remote Charge Station Won't Work with Motion Plus]]> THIS JUST IN!

You cannot use the remote charging station with a nunchuck, classic controller, Wii wheel, zapper attached. An extended list includes shield, sword attachments, the wii dildos, any wii sports attachments as well as boxing gloves...

I mean seriously guys. You need to detach EVERYTHING from the Wiimote first, so why is this new and a problem?

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on No More Heroes Mobile Is Less Bloody, More Adorable]]> @Silent Predator: The final boss gave me the most trouble, mostly because I never really figured out how to damage her. I mostly blocked/dodged and then swung, hoping for the occasional combo until she died. Probably why it was the only boss I had to retry more than once (the only other one I needed to retry was the crazy girl with the bondage minions in the baseball field, since I fell for that stupid insta-kill).

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Microsoft Midori Is a Secret Post-Windows Operating System]]> Singularity has been around for a while. The fun thing about it is that it's a microkernel, which, in theory, is less vulnerable to crashes, since absolutely everything that isn't merely keeping the machine running is process, not part of the OS. This includes drivers, etc. If a driver dies, the main OS can ress it. There've been problems with the idea (though Singularity has helped address some), though, and, since it isn't all baked into the OS, it takes more resources...

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on What It's Like Working Under Bill Gates]]> "Someone from my team was there, too. His job was to keep track of how many times Bill said the F-word. The lower the F-count, the better."

This bit made my day.

]]>
<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Wired: How and Why Android Came to Be]]> I personally think that it really is more about the hardware, at least in a corporate sense. Consumers can fake/steal/copy software with relative ease. It takes some insane world bending powers to fake hardware; you can pirate video games, but game consoles are the stretch, so Google's argument stands relatively strongly in my eyes.

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Disney's Innoventions Dream Home is a Big Ad For Microsoft and HP...But I Still Want It]]> @pevans34: Digital screens, TVs, and the like always look like crap after you take a picture of them and put them onto paper or onto yet another screen. That's why all the ads you see in the sales papers have had images of the latest movie or game that they're trying to push doctored onto them, instead of taking pictures of them displaying the picture.

<![CDATA[Reilaos~ commented on Spore Creature Creator Spawns Xbox 360 Controller]]> @Ghede (Follow me for no raisin):

Can you overlay bits? I don't think I can logically think of a creature that should have an eyeball inside the other one...

On a more relevant note: Spore creations have shifted from immature to incredibly creepy. This seems like a somewhat lateral movement to me... Then it'll be a backwards step once we see penis shaped wiimotes....
