... and now we know the origin of Xbox 360's Red Rings of Death.
I'm glad someone found a lightweight alternative to grandma's fruitcake armor that I've been wearing every year to get the Black Friday discounts at my local WalMart.
@tenzin0124: The weapons systems are all internal in order to avoid increasing the radar profile while en route to a target.
I wonder how they're going to prevent someone from blowing up the machine and collecting anything shiny that flies out. ATMs that dispense paper employ die packs and paper by nature is easily destroyed if you use too much destructive force to breach the machine.

In order to prevent someone from stealing the gold and melting it down, I supposed you'd have to irradiate the hell out of it if the integrity of the machine was compromised thus making it dangerous for anyone to handle it and easily detectable if reconstituted into a different form.
Do this guy a solid and hire him to write for Giz for at least a year.
@jesuswhammy: All of the signage on the Apple buildings still has the pastel colors from the gumdrop iMacs.
And the iMat will still be cheaper than the Microsoft Surface.
The FBI obviously has a superior defrag program than the one included with XP. Also, the technologically savvy and suits do not mix well together. This guy wants to be a field agent.
@schrosa: Was just going to say the same thing. It's the theater's responsibility to patrol for disruptive patrons. The manager will tell you that you should have informed them about the talkative idiot, but why should you miss part of the movie? Always ask for a refund or some free passes when this happens.
They're very persistent. I drove by them yesterday when the news crew was present and lo and behold a day later and they're still there!
Is that an MC Frontalot pumpkin? #jackolanterns
Why settle with Google Earth's "street view" when you have have "live view"? We'd also be able to search and watch all content recorded from that camera/location. Sounds sweet to me; or at least until I show up on camera.
It has merit in the way that it can train you to perform the right pen/brush/pencil strokes. I wonder if it can mimic different artistic styles.

I can't wait to hook this up to myself while I sleep when they come out with a brainwave reading version. Anybody want to buy some disturbing art?

Wow... look at his right hand... clenched. You'd think he'd be taking pictures or at least have the camera in his hands.
Now we have a clear visual on what the androids dream of...
@Hello Mister Walrus: Everybody knows that soviet equipment gives a +1 defense modifier and adds a dodge bonus when in combat with space debris.
It's a very interesting concept, but while they claim it improves traction, I think it might actually cause more catastrophic results when traction is lost while cornering. It seems to me that the wheels opposite the corner might "dig in" to the road surface and make the vehicle more prone to rollovers. With that said, I'd still volunteer to drive the prototype. Innovation ho!
This looks like one of the cars from the first MegaRace PC game a while back.
Google Earth would be a good place for architects to look for ideas. Given a space, it would be cool if you could search for all sorts of building or structures that would fit in it.

On the other hand... with support data from weather.com, Google Earth could power a "real-time" look and feel of a city or landscape. Maybe their Android phones could allow you to show up on Google Earth (or at least be shown to your gmail contacts).

Maybe they just signed a data gathering agreement with the EA for "real-life" Mirror's Edge levels.
