Funny. Those graphs have a similar line to Gizmodo's readership lately.
Well I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm not. This is news but at the same time it really isn't sadly.
And just cuz Giz doesn't seem to want to post my fixed link post I just did here it is again. [www.psubs.org]
@TheCyberBob: Shoot. Here's the larg sub link I meant to paste instead: [www.psubs.org]

As a side note I believe this one was bought as a research vessel from the original DIY crew.

What's interesting about the article is more his age and ingenuity. The whole building your own submarine thing has been around for ages. Hell there's entire websites, guides, project pages etc on how to make your own submarine from the small (images on the left): [www.psubs.org]
To the FREAKING HUGE (for a home project): [www.psubs.org]
Isn't this franchise dead yet?

Star Wars: "I'm not dead yet!"
Me: "Yes you are. You're not fooling anyone."

@Antioch18: Seriously dude. Check out the authentic Japanese game shows. This is kinda tame. Ridiculous yes. But tame.
@Bitstuff: I was wondering that myself.

I totally agree with the above article and not only cuz it's the hip thing to do. The biggest let down of the system when I first got it was the weird sensitivity to movement. Best example for this would be Wii Sports Golf I think where driving the ball was easy and natural thanks to the fact that it was a big movement and easy to detect. But the putting. DEAR GOD the putting! ARGH! A slight swing could either only tap it a millimeter or send the ball into orbit. I'm totally happy with the Wii but the motion controls didn't 100% pan out.

This Motion add-on restores some of my faith though.

Not the dreaded Trojan Camel! Drats! I fall for it every time.
@lpranal: I think even BMW would hesitate at the raw cost of using real silver on 180,000 balls.
That and the lack of a separate keyboard so you get more real estate to read what you're typing would probably lower the usefulness of a full blown text editor imho. You know I love these devices that try to do everything but I do wish that manufacturers would sometimes just go "No. This product is going to do a very short list of things but do them REALLY well." and leave it at that.
I'm still in awe over the size of new video cards lately. I understand the why they need the extra space for cooling etc but still these are getting huge.
As a side note I wonder if they have an analog watch version of that table. So you can watch all the gears spinning etc.
@Curves: Well said.

Hey poop-acead and Roto-Rooter just use this link to Gizmodo if you don't want Apple news: [gizmodo.com]
It's like magic!
Now save that link and please quit yer bitchin'

You know... There's days when I go "Damn... I'm a HUGE nerd." and then I see something like this and I realize I'm not that bad off really.
Maybe they'll just get the stewardesses to do a funny sock puppet play at the front of the plane for entertainment.
Why am I waiting for someone to say "We're goina need another Timmy" after that explosion?

Video for those that don't get that quote:

Interesting look. But the detachable base power cord system is kinda standard for kettles now. I picked a new stainless steel kettle up at Zehr's for the office for like $30. Just saying that you may be looking a bit too far abroad for a common household item.
@Sihanouk-s-Poodle: True. But those repeaters have to get there in the first place. My parents live 30 minutes away from a (relatively) large city in Ontario. Yet they have no Cable, the telephone lines and equipment can't handle DSL communications so Satellite is the only option really. Even line of sight Internet is not likely to be very reliable given the area.
And getting T-Boned by a Mac Truck would be akin to crushing a beer can on your forehead! AWESOME!
